Emergency doctors are asking the government to urgently work on stricter rules for e-steps. The number of accidents is going through the roof. In one year, they counted more than a thousand patients in Antwerp alone, according to a study by Ziekenhuis aan de Stroom (ZAS). "Half of the victims are incapacitated for work for some time," says doctor Brecht De Tavernier. "One in twenty is in serious condition."
