Duke of Death and Kuruma: why something else?

As a relatively new player (level 50) I enjoy my free Duke of Death and don't even want to buy the Armored Kuruma, because it can't handle explosions. But GTA Online has lots of other cars. But why would I buy other cars, when DoD and Kuruma are considered to be the best cars in the game?
