Driver leaves after hitting fire hydrant

A man from Bloomfield Hills was given three citations the night of Tuesday, May 26, after he admitted to hitting a fire hydrant on northbound Old Woodward in Birmingham without reporting it. According to the police report, officers patrolling near Old Woodward and Hamilton saw the man’s car parked in a parking lot with the hazards going off and significant damage to the car.
