The meeting of the Provincial Council in Drenthe was suspended for some time on Wednesday due to an action by Extinction Rebellion (XR). A number of activists protested against the use of pesticides in bulb cultivation by singing and carrying a large banner. In addition to the banner with the text ‘Bulb cultivation poison-free’, the slogans ‘Province enforce now’ and ‘Stop with all that poison’ were also heard.
