- Mel Fischer, a Louisville native and owner, named Froggy's Popcorn for her late cat, reflecting her personal commitment to animals.
- In-Store, Froggy's set up a hot chocolate bar and freshly popped movie-theater popcorn with hot butter, alongside more than 18 flavors of popcorn and unique spice-mixer sets with made-from-scratch recipes.
- Shelter staff say proceeds and cash or online donations fund microchipping, vaccines and medical care for about 60 cats and about 30 dogs at Animal Care Society.
- Emphasizing quality, Fischer pointed to clean ingredients including real butter and molasses, and said `We are locally owned, we're here five days a week.
