Child Signups Continue for Dolly Parton Library as Funding Uncertain

INDIANA, JUL 30 – The CenterPoint Energy Foundation donated $500,000 to support free monthly books for over 125,000 Indiana children, aiding early literacy efforts led by state and community partners.

The future of Indiana’s statewide Dolly Parton Imagination Library program has remained uncertain since funding was cut from the state budget for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, though efforts led by the state’s first lady may soon bring more clarity.
