Dolly Parton Estate Announces 2-Day Festival 'Dollyfest' to Celebrate Her Legacy
Team Dolly says the two-day festival will honor Parton’s legacy and replace a traditional memorial, with tickets and dates to come later.
On Monday, the estate of Dolly Parton announced Dollyfest, a two-day festival in Nashville, Tennessee and London, England in 2027, celebrating the global icon who died of cancer last week at age 80.
Originally planned for Parton's 80th birthday in January 2026 with her as performer and host, the festival was postponed after she stepped back in August 2025 due to health challenges.
Danny Nozell, longtime business partner and CEO of CTK Enterprises, stated Parton did not want a traditional memorial, emphasizing the festival represents 'What Dolly Would Do' rather than a solemn public occasion.
A private service was held Friday attended only by immediate family, per The Associated Press, with no public ceremony per Parton's wishes. Great-niece Lainey Parton posted a tribute on Instagram Saturday.
Specific dates and ticket information for Dollyfest remain forthcoming, with fans able to sign up at www.dollyparton.com for additional details as the estate finalizes the celebration.
