DNB: Payment Market Too Dependent on Non-European Providers

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is increasingly concerned about the dependency on non-European companies, for example when it comes to payment transactions in Europe. "The back of payment cards is completely provided by two American providers who control more than 60 percent of the European payment market," according to DNB president Klaas Knot.
