UPDATE: District Fire Evacuations Downgraded; Grove Fire Prompts Evacuation

BUTTE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 5 – The wildfire burned about 44 acres and evacuation warnings for all affected zones have been lifted as containment reaches 65%, officials said.

OROVILLE — With the District Fire burning Friday afternoon, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office issued evacuation orders in the Palermo area that were downgraded three hours later with the wildfire’s progress stopped. Meanwhile, the Grove Fire at Grimey Gulch Road in Bangor prompted an evacuation order.
