- On Monday, Disney+ and Hulu announced a licensing agreement with iHeartMedia to stream six video podcasts, starting August 14 with the debut of 'Hey Jonas!' hosted by Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas.
- "These new video podcasts bring fans closer to their favorite worlds," said Lauren Tempest, Head of Content Planning & Partnerships, DTC at The Walt Disney Company, addressing growing demand for multi-platform engagement.
- The lineup includes 'Pod Meets World' on Disney+ and 'Desperately Devoted' premiering November 2 for 'Desperate Housewives' fans, while Hulu will host 'StraightioLab' and 'Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim' in the coming months.
- Hulu will also stream 'Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald' later this year, hosted by 'Scrubs' stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison, expanding the platforms' collection of 30 licensed podcasts.
