Dismay for Big Bear bald eagle family as eaglet dies in winter storm

One eaglet from Jackie and Shadow's family at Big Bear Lake has died after a winter storm that brought over 2 feet of snow to the area, according to Friends of Big Bear Valley.
The eaglet was last seen being fed on March 13, during an evening feeding, before its absence was confirmed by viewers as only two chicks were visible in the nest.
Friends of Big Bear Valley stated they do not know how or why the eaglet died, as all were similar in size.
Despite the loss, Jackie and Shadow's other two chicks are doing well, with fans continuing to watch the live feed.
