Discrepancy discovered between Mobile, FBI crime stats for city

Mobile, Birmingham police chiefs blast crime study

Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond said that the website MoneyGeek skewed FBI crime data by adding a dollar value to crime to determine the "most violent" cities in the U.S., of which Mobile was listed at No. 2 and Birmingham at No. 3.
