Disability inspired teacher to pen kids’ book

River Forest graduate Allen Long, 27, who teaches third grade in Dolan Springs, Arizona, said he witnessed a student in his class struggling with a severe case of ADHD that reminded him of his own childhood. Long returned on Monday to share his own experiences and read his new children’s book to the students called “The Little Elephant Who Couldn’t Sit Still.”
