Direct flights from Perth to Johannesburg and Auckland
- Starting December 7 and 8, 2025, Qantas will begin operating direct services from Perth to Johannesburg and Auckland, respectively, with flights departing from Perth Airport.
- The new routes are enabled by collaborations among Perth Airport, Australian Border Force, and the Department of Agriculture plus federal funding to boost border services.
- Each route will use Airbus A330 aircraft with 27 business and 224 economy seats, flying three times a week with flight times of about 11 hours 15 minutes to Johannesburg and 6 hours 45 minutes to Auckland.
