Detour in Elk County announced as bridge rehab work starts

ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Drivers in Elk County will notice a new detour in place starting Wednesday, PennDOT announced. The Route 4007 bridge project is starting on July 16 in Johnsonburg Borough. The bridge spanning the west branch of the Clarion River will be under a detour while crews work to improve ride quality, extend service life, and improve the overall condition rating of the bridge.
