Veterans Affairs clinic open in Castle Rock
Nearly 150 veterans, their families and community members attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting (pictured top) of the new Castle Rock VA clinic. Douglas County veterans now have access to local Veterans Affairs (VA) care. A ribbon cutting ceremony last month celebrated the grand opening of a new VA outpatient clinic at the corner of Prairie Hawk Drive and Dacoro Lane in Castle Rock. Source
Delaware House passes bill to establish Veterans Affairs Department
DOVER, Del. – Last week – the Delaware House unanimously passed legislation to create a new veterans affairs department. With that would come a new secretary as well. If the Department of Veterans Affairs is created under House Bill 1, it would serve as a resource for the 70,000 veterans living in Delaware.
