On 2 July, Ivorian justice charged and detained a member of the National Council of Transition of Mali (CNT), the parliament installed by the junta. Mamadou Awa Gassama was in private residence in Abidjan when he was arrested and charged with "outrage, incitement to the destabilization of institutions through calls for insurrection". He appointed a Malian lawyer who entered the file this Monday.
The fight against school pregnancies continues to bear fruit in Côte d'Ivoire. For the past three years, the country has seen a significant decrease in the number of pregnant girls during their school career. A success that is due to a rigorous and multisectoral strategy led by the Ministry of National Education and Literacy, led by Minister Mariatou Koné, with the constant support of technical and financial partners.
