DEC searching for black bear with tin stuck on its head in Tioga County

TIOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A black bear in Tioga County is in need of help. Over the last four days, a black bear has been sighted multiple times wandering around Newark Valley with a tin stuck on its head. The DEC and Wildlife have attempted to rescue the bear but each time it has escaped. The last known attempted rescue was on Thursday evening on Howard Hill Road.
