The campaign of the French municipal elections took an ever more incendiary turn after the death of an ultra-rightist activist in Lyon. Friday in Strasbourg, identity slogans and death threats were tagged on the premises of outgoing mayor Jeanne Barseghian.
The locality of the list led by Jeanne Barseghian was degraded on the night of 26-27 February in Strasbourg. slogans attributed to the far right, including "To death the traitors", were inscribed on the front door. A packager was also attacked according to the outgoing mayor, who lodged a complaint.
