In connection with the death of a man who died in Ljubljana in December 2024 after the use of coercive measures, the Ministry of the Interior announced that on June 15, the competent authority suspended disciplinary proceedings against six police officers due to the statute of limitations.
The disciplinary proceedings against the six police officers who participated in the intervention on Čopova in Ljubljana, which resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man, have expired. They were only introduced in April this year, almost a year and a half after the tragic event, and were stopped two months later.
