At approximately 1:47 p.m. on May 22, 2026, Los Angeles County firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle that had gone over the side of a cliff near Via Pena and Paseo Del Mar in Palos Verdes Estates. Responding crews located the vehicle down the cliffside and requested additional rescue resources to assist with the recovery operation.
