DCU ‘Batman’ horror villain spinoff ‘Clayface’ officially delayed

Warner Bros. moved Clayface from Sept. 11, 2026 to Oct. 23, 2026 and advanced Practical Magic 2 into Sept. 11 after pulling it up from Sept. 18.
With the post–Labor Day frame in mind, Warner Bros. shifted dates because Practical Magic 2, starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, was seen as a bigger draw for the weekend and filled a gap left when Remain moved to 2027.
James Watkins-directed Clayface is a body-horror film written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, starring Tom Rhys Harries and Naomie Ackie for an October/Halloween release.
Fans will have to wait longer as Practical Magic 2 faces Focus Features' redo on September 11, 2026, while Clayface opens in late October against multiple indie releases.
Practical Magic 2 begins the studio's post–Labor Day slate, and if Clayface succeeds, it could connect to other DCU projects, as Warner Bros. shifted its release dates.
