DCF Audit Highlights Risks Of Foster Care

Auditors are recommending that DCF assess each episode where a child goes missing from care to identify common risk factors and evaluate the care environment to then come up with a plan to help reduce instances where children go missing.

DCF audit finds 94% spike in runaway child incidents

A recently released state audit of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) found a number of concerns, chief among them being a 94% increase in missing children episodes from 2020 to 2023.
