DC3 launches lawsuit against Board of Adjustment
Dickinson County Concerned Citizens (DC3) is asking the Dickinson County Court to block a 300-megawatt wind energy project they say will "destroy views" around the Iowa Great Lakes Region and "harm property values." DC3 filed a petition in May challenging the county board's unanimous approval of Invenergy Red Rock Wind Energy farm. The project would place industrial turbines across agricultural land near Lake Okoboji.
