The scene, which the newspaper Der Standard described as a David-versus-Goliath encounter, amused the internet but ultimately failed.
The captain of the Voyager of the Seas received a letter from Mayor Estrosi on Thursday stating that ships with more than 2,500 passengers are not allowed to dock near his city as of July 1.
