- A routine PET scan months ago flagged an unusual flare and an October PET scan showed a growing tongue lesion, leading to CT, MRI, and a larger biopsy confirming cancerous cells.
- Doctors diagnosed early-stage P16 oropharyngeal carcinoma, saying it may stem from an HPV infection up to 30 years ago and has a 90% curability rate.
- Now undergoing 35 weekday radiation treatments through Dec. 31, Coulier reports side effects including nausea, `radiation brain`, and left-side pain from tissue removal for biopsy.
- As an ambassador for the V Foundation, Coulier said the diagnoses have been a big drain on his wife Melissa and AwearMarket will launch on Dec. 2 in partnership with the V Foundation.
