Damage pegged at $100K in Barrie garage fire

A fire in a garage at a home in Barrie's south end caused about $100,000 in damage, according to Fire Chief Kevin White. Six trucks and 25 firefighters attended the scene on Brennan Avenue. The call about the blaze came in around 11:30 p.m. Friday. White says nobody was home at the time of the fire, and there were no reports of injuries to the public or firefighters. The detached garage was destroyed. The fire is not considered suspicious.
