MT. HOLLY, N.C. – In Gaston County, Daimler is laying off over 500 workers from the automaker’s plant in Mount Holly. The company says the layoffs come as they’ve experienced a slow-down in truck and electric vehicle orders. Daimler is also laying off workers in several other states. In total, approximately 2,000 employees are impacted.
