A Texas father used parental controls to track his kidnapped 15-year-old daughter to a secluded area, leading to her rescue and the arrest of the 23-year-old suspect.
- On Dec. 25, a Texas father traced his 15-year-old daughter's phone and rescued her in a maroon pickup truck about two miles away, police said.
- The teenager left from the 4000 block of Conner Mills Court to walk her dog and did not return at her usual time, prompting her parents to call deputies around 4:50 p.m. on Dec. 25.
- Investigators said the suspect threatened the girl with a knife and abducted her from the street, and witnesses described the truck that helped deputies identify Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23.
- After the rescue, the girl returned home and is recovering with family, KHOU reported, and the father helped his daughter escape the truck before contacting law enforcement.
- Sheriff Wesley Doolittle condemned the crime, saying `Christmas is a day meant for joy, but this man chose to shatter that joy by targeting a child`, as Giovanni Rosales Espinoza was charged and held in Montgomery County Jail with no bond.
