According to an analysis published by OKO.press, the idea of stripping Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle began appearing online even before Karol Nawrocki's declaration. Previously, similar demands were allegedly spread by individuals and channels publishing content consistent with the Russian propaganda narrative.
After Poland did so, the smaller Czech government party also initiated the initiative to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the Czech Republic's highest state award, the Order of the White Lion, the Kyiv Post reported. However, the Czech presidential office rejected the initiative due to lack of authority.
