- On Tuesday , the India Meteorological Department said Cyclone Montha will cross between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam near Kakinada as a severe cyclonic storm with 90-100 kmph winds gusting to 110 kmph, issuing red alerts for 16 districts and orange alerts for five.
- High-Wave and surge forecasts suggest INCOIS warned of two to four point seven meters of waves between 5.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m., with IMD predicting about one metre storm surge.
- A control room monitors the cyclone with 42 drones while nearly 10,000 people were evacuated in Kakinada and Konaseema and 126 pregnant women were shifted to hospitals.
- Visakhapatnam Airport confirmed cancellations of all IndiGo and Air India Express flights for October 28, South Central Railway cancelled 72 trains, and medical camps with 108 and 104 vehicles are on standby.
- Naidu directed deployment of 3,211 generators across 110 mandals for power backup at over 2,700 villages, and NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed for rescue readiness.
