'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2' introduces new cast of Night City
The 10-episode sequel follows a new crew of misfits and a redemption-and-revenge story, with Netflix set to release it this fall, officials said.
- On Monday, Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger released a teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, confirming the 10-episode standalone series will premiere on Netflix this fall.
- Despite a new cast, much of the creative team from the first Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series is returning, with director Kai Ikarashi joined by writers Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Ltsuka, and key animator Ichigo Kanno.
- Fans have already identified locations in the trailer pulled from Cyberpunk 2077, including the Riot nightclub, the Afterlife bar, and the Arasaka Industrial Park, with one user saying the anime is "so f**king game location accurate."
- The trailer introduces Edgerunning veteran Weak Kingsley , journalist-to-be Roman Carax , Netrunner D , and Corpo Talia Yang , set to Rico Nasty's "You Can't Run From Me."

Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the only game I can think of that owes a not-insignificant part of its popularity to a really good adaptation.
