French investigators have cracked down on a group of people suspected of carrying out large-scale cyberattacks and data theft. According to the Office for Combating Cybercrime, cited by AFP, police have arrested seven people. The attacks could have affected more than 1,500 companies and institutions, including the French parliament.
Seven people were arrested by the anti-cybercrime office after stealing tens of millions of data from, among others, the National Assembly or Leroy Merlin. Some of them were arrested in Bordeaux, Poitiers and Limoges.
