Since Friday morning, small packages have been subject to customs duties. Several countries, including France, have suspended their shipments to the United States.
A Montreal entrepreneur who manufactures will put more money on the Canadian market because of the new U.S. tariffs on small parcels.


From Friday, 29 August, packages entering American soil will be subject to the same customs duties as any other importation, with the exception of private "gifts" of less than 100 dollars.
Since Friday morning, packages worth more than $100 (approximately €86) must be subject to the same taxes as other imports. Twenty-five countries, including France, have decided to suspend their deliveries to the United States because of the uncertainties created by this measure.
