More than 700,000 people in Lebanon have been forced to flee their homes since early March due to Israeli attacks on the radical Hezbollah movement. There is a shortage of alternative accommodation for the displaced, and people are often sleeping on the streets.

On Wednesday, 11 March, the United Nations Security Council met urgently to take stock of the situation in Lebanon, hard hit by the military escalation between Israel and Hezbollah. A direct consequence of the Israeli-American offensive launched on 28 February against Iran. As the strikes intensify, the human balance continues to grow and the displacement of the population is taking on a dramatic scale.
