- Unidentified bodies are buried in numbered graves to ensure proper interment, as workers expand La Esperanza to accommodate a capacity of about 2,000 to 3,000 graves.
- At least 1,171 aftershocks have been recorded since the disaster, which left more than 16,700 injured and 17,907 homeless, while 86,794 families have received government assistance.
