Crayola issues nationwide recall for safety hazard to children

CreateOn is recalling about 9,400 Crayola pip-Cube magnetic sets after magnets detached, posing ingestion risks that can cause serious injury or death, the CPSC said.

  • On Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a nationwide recall of roughly 9,400 CreateOn Crayola-branded pip-Cube sets due to safety risks.
  • The hazard stems from internal high-powered magnets that can detach and cause serious injuries if swallowed, and the recall covers Bold Colors and Glitter magnetic building cube sets.
  • Manufactured in China and imported by CreateOn LLC, Wheeling, Illinois, the recalled 24-piece and 27-piece packs sold at Michaels and Amazon list models 1000199, 1000243, 1000205, 1000250 and UPCs 850067300199, 850067300205, 850067300250.
  • Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnetic building cubes, remove them from children, and contact CreateOn for a replacement; CreateOn confirmed three incidents but said no injuries have been reported.
  • The timeframe covers sales between May and July 2025, and Crayola and CreateOn did not immediately respond to FOX Business' request for comment.
