DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- An elderly Tennessee woman was killed in a crash near Red Level over the weekend. Alabama State Troopers say 74-year-old Dessie Medley was a passenger in a 2024 Honda CR-V and was killed when the car hit a 2017 Mercedes-Benz on Highway 55, around four miles northwest of Red Level on Sunday. A two-vehicle crash in Covington County has claimed the life of a Tennessee woman and injured seven others. The crash happened around 12:50 p.m. Sunday on Alabama 55 near the 42 mile marker, approximately four miles northwest of Red Level.
