Part of Interstate 85 was temporarily closed in Granville County on Wednesday due to a crash. The road reopened around 11:40 a.m.

CHARLOTTE, NC – A crash Wednesday afternoon closed two of the five lanes on I-85 in Charlotte. The NC DOT says the accident happened around 12:10 pm in the southbound lanes near mile marker 36 and Brookshire Boulevard. The lanes are expected to remain closed through 4 pm at the start of the evening rush. Drivers should expect delays in that area.
