Police: Break-in Suspect Barricaded Himself in Taco Bell Freezer

- After calls about a man near 1111 Cranston Street, responding Cranston police officers found a knife-wielding man running through traffic and trying to open vehicle doors Tuesday.
- At one house a juvenile resident at 55 Chestnut Hill Avenue said he scared the intruder off with a knife, while investigators say the suspect allegedly tried to enter two other Chestnut Hill Avenue homes and police recovered a large kitchen knife from the freezer.
- Authorities say Thu Chau is being held at the Adult Correction Institutions and will be arraigned Friday morning in Third District Court in Warwick.
- Cranston Police Department said they are coordinating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and noted Thu Chau had five previous arrests in Rhode Island.
