CPSC recalls more than 15,000 baby products sold on Amazon over safety risks
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled over 15,000 infant items sold on Amazon due to fall, suffocation, and entrapment hazards, with no injuries reported.
- On Thursday, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced four recalls affecting more than 15,000 infant products sold on Amazon.com and made in China.
- CPSC cited design and sizing defects that cause fall risks in BBWOO Baby Loungers, undersized KEAWIS crib mattresses creating suffocation gaps, and unsafe bottle angles in Greatale and Ourkiss self-feeding pillows.
- Sales records show roughly 11,900 baby loungers sold for $34–$39, about 1,500 KEAWIS / Yixing Trading mattresses for $50–$60, 1,260 Greatale pillows for $10–$20, and 370 Ourkiss self-feeders for $14–$18 on Amazon.com.
- Consumers must stop using recalled items and destroy or cut them, emailing photos for refunds from Yixing Trading and Greatale, while Ourkiss has not responded and no refunds are available for some products.
- The CPSC noted that each recall was issued by a separate company, with no reported injuries or deaths so far, and recalled self-feeding pillows include designs posing neck hazards.
