As respiratory illness season takes hold and cold and flu activity increases in the community, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has reinstated mandatory masking requirements in the hospitals. COVID outbreak declared at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital

The North Wing at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) site is under a unit-specific COVID outbreak.  Visitation is limited to one essential caregiver, and general visitors are not allowed during the outbreak period. Essential caregivers are to wear a surgical mask and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as identified by the Infection Prevention and Control team.
