In Tanzania, the High Court of Justice of Kisutu in Dar es Salaam confirmed the holding of a trial against Tundu Lissu. The opponent is prosecuted for treason and his party, Chadema, has been excluded from the next elections. The main opponent to President Samia Suluhu Hassan in the presidential elections of 29 October has been in prison since April. On 15 September, the hearing took place in a climate of tension.
