MALAYSIA, JUL 16 – The appointment delay follows allegations of political interference and risks eroding public trust in Malaysia's judiciary, with no new chief justice named after a three-day royal meeting.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had earlier said that the rulers would announce the appointments on Wednesday (Jul 16).
