Disgraced AFL Great a ‘Broken Man’: Court
Prosecutors say prior violence convictions and the severity of the assault justify jail, while the magistrate has not yet decided on a sentence.

- Winmar, 60, was the first Indigenous footballer to play 200 VFL/AFL games and gained national attention for his 1993 anti-racism stance at Victoria Park. He currently struggles with depression, PTSD, and alcohol disorders, his defense noted.
