Politician Count Binface Demands Sega Releases Shenmue 4
Count Binface says Shenmue fans deserve a sequel after a fake AI trailer and a remaster announcement renewed interest in the series.
Count Binface, the satirist running for MP in Clacton, has officially called on Sega to develop Shenmue 4 in a video for the Shenmue Dojo, urging the publisher to "get done."
Devoted fans of the Shenmue series have long sought an update on the franchise, and facing silence from the publisher, they have turned to the media-savvy Binface to champion their cause.
Publisher Inin Games announced last year that Shenmue III Enhanced, a remastered version of the 2019 title, will release later this year, though this remains the only recent development following a fake, AI-generated trailer.
Binface, the persona of comedian Jon Harvey, is currently campaigning in the Clacton by-election as the sole challenger to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, whose platform includes the "nationalization of" Adele.
Farage's resignation follows allegations regarding a roughly $6.7 million gift from billionaire Christopher Harborne, creating an election showdown where Binface hopes his unconventional candidacy will secure votes amid rival parties dismissing Farage's actions as a stunt.
