North Bay council approves funding for $6.6M PFAS pilot project
North Bay, Ont. – City council has approved a $6.6-million increase to fund design work as well as a PFAS treatment pilot project. The goal of the project is to remove PFAS, or forever chemicals, from the city’s drinking water. The chemicals were found in water drawn from the Trout River which is North Bay’s source of water.
