Council ends negotiations for one Thermo economic development option, approves lithium mining lease
After an executive session that lasted just over an hour, Sulphur Springs City Council Tuesday night voted to terminate economic development negotiations for use of the old Thermo mine property, and agreed to lease mineral rights to Texas Lone Star Brine LLC on behalf of Standard Lithium for future mining of lithium in Hopkins County.
