- The retailer is recalling products sold in eight states and Puerto Rico, warning that individuals with Hazelnuts or Filbert allergies risk life-threatening reactions from undeclared exposure.
- Shoppers who purchased the affected items between March 30 and April 6 can return them to any Costco location for a full refund; Costco Customer Service handles additional inquiries.
- According to Food Allergy Research and Education, Hazelnuts rank among the top tree nut allergies for children and adults, making undeclared exposure particularly dangerous for sensitive individuals.
- This recall follows recent safety alerts at Costco, including a March Salmonella contamination notice for meatloaf kits sold in nearly 30 states and a Consumer Product Safety Commission recall of more than 700,000 saute pans from Walmart and Amazon.
