Democrat Cory Booker wins reelection to U.S. Senate from New Jersey
On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, New Jersey voters headed to the polls for the general election, casting ballots in incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Cory Booker's re-election bid and 12 U.S. House contests statewide.
Booker, the former Newark mayor, seeks his third term after securing $6.8 billion in federal funding for the Hudson Tunnel Project and sponsoring the First Step Act, criminal justice reform legislation now law.
In the 1st District, Democrat Donald Norcross seeks a seventh term against Republican Damon Galdo, while Republican incumbent Jeff Van Drew faces Cape May Mayor Zack Mullock in the 2nd District.
Elsewhere, the 3rd District features Democrat Herb Conaway and Republican Michael McGuire, while longtime Republican incumbent Chris Smith faces Democrat Rachel Peace in the 4th District along the Jersey coast.
Election results remain unofficial until certified by state officials; voters statewide monitored the status of these congressional races throughout the evening following Tuesday's vote.
